Meetings - update Mar 24

Council Meetings and Minutes

Monthly Meeting Dates and Location

FPC meetings normally take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at the Village Hall, Water Stratford Road.  There is no meeting in the month of August.  All villagers and members of the public are welcome to attend as guests.

The meeting dates scheduled for 2023/24 are:  May 7th (Annual Meeting of PC) and May 14th (Annual Parish Meeting).

Dates can occasionally be subject to change.

The first meeting in May is the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council at which officers are appointed for the coming year and governance is reviewed.

Annual Parish Meeting

Annually, in May, normally one week after the monthly meeting, the PC organises the Annual Parish Meeting where guest speakers, such as Police, Ambulance Service, Environment Agency, address village issues and reports are given by both County and District Councillors, the Chairman and the Responsible Financial Officer.  Local organisations, such as the Church and School, and businesses are also invited to report on their activities in the preceding year.

Agendas

These are posted on the three noticeboards around the village (village hall carpark, Valley Rd, the School entrance) and placed on the website at least a week in advance of each meeting.  The latest agenda is available below.

Minutes

The draft minutes of any meeting are normally on the website and in folders on the noticeboards within two weeks of the meeting date.

The minutes of preceding meetings are also available.

To access these please visit our Minutes page.
